A Glendon man has been remanded into custody after RCMP found him while recovering stolen property. The man was arrested with two other individuals who were also remanded.

On Jan. 10, 2019, a joint operation was conducted with Boyle and Athabasca RCMP Detachments, Alberta Sheriffs and the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) which resulted in the arrest of multiple individuals and the recovery of stolen property.

Police were making efforts to locate a male in Athabasca County who was wanted for various offences across several jurisdictions.

While doing so, they discovered a property which contained stolen vehicles and off road vehicles. A search warrant was executed at the property and two males and a female were arrested. Three trucks (stolen from Bruderheim, Athabasca, and Boyle) and four ATVs (stolen from Athabasca and Rochester) were seized and recovered by police.

“Partnerships across RCMP Detachments and specialized units is critical to the success of our operations,” said Constable Guillaume Wilson, EADRCRU officer. “This joint operation allowed us to recover multiple stolen vehicles.”
