Cold Lake RCMP seize over $20k in stolen property; one charged.

One man has been arrested and charged following an execution of a search warrant, which lead to police discovering over $20,000 in stolen property.

On January 2nd, 2019, Cold Lake RCMP, District Crime Reduction Unit and Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a residence on Cold Lake First Nations. As a result of the search warrant, several stolen properties were located at the residence including two stolen vehicles, a stolen GMC Engine and Ammunition. The seizure of stolen property valued over $20,000.

As a result of this investigation, one adult male was arrested and charged.

Lorne Roderick Charland has been charged with:

  • Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $5000 (x 4)
  • Operation of Motor Vehicle while being pursued by police
  • Weapons possession contrary to Order.

Lorne Roderick Charland was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on conditions.
