Snowfall warning for Lakeland region

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Lakeland region. Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

An area of heavy snow over east central Alberta will continue to move northward today. The snow is expected to taper off this evening.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
