Two males were arrested after police located a stolen truck in the Frog Lake area.

Last Friday, Elk Point RCMP Detachment with the assistance of the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) and Cold Lake Police Dog Services (PDS) were conducting patrols in the Frog Lake area and located a stolen truck from Dewberry, Alberta.

The police say they attempted to stop it when it fled. No pursuit was initiated and the truck was later located abandoned.

PDS were able to track the suspects to a neighbouring residence. Police entered the residence and located two males who were taken into custody without incident.

At the time of his arrest, Lacombe was also wanted for possession of stolen property over $5000 and flight from police.

A male youth (17) of Fishing Lake was also arrested in relation to this offence, but his name cannot be released, as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Both of the accused were remanded into custody and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court tomorrow.
