St. Paul RCMP charge four after executing search warrant

Four men have been charged with theft and drug related offenses after RCMP searched two residences in St. Paul. Items found during the searches included drugs, weapons, and stolen property. All four men have been released with later court dates on the schedule.

On Sept. 25, 2018 the St. Paul RCMP with assistance from the Eastern Alberta Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) executed a search warrant for two locations in the Town of St. Paul believed to be housing stolen property.

Upon entry of the properties, members located stolen items, some of which include: stolen identification, televisions, keys, riding gloves, riding mask, and copper wire. Other items located and seized include: drugs and drug paraphernalia, firearms and ammunition, and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. Police arrested and charged three suspects.

Travis Bearhead (44) of Edmonton, Alberta was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property. He was released from custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Oct. 18, 2018.

Moses Cardinal (25) of Saddle Lake, Alberta was charged with two counts of break and enter, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of stolen property. He was released from custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Oct. 18, 2018.

Lawrence Desjarlais (39) of St. Paul, Alberta was charged with one count of obstruction, fail to comply with probation, and fail to comply with condition of Recognizance. He was release from custody on a Promise to Appear and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Oct. 18, 2018.

Austin Scott (20) of St. Paul, Alberta was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of stolen property. He was released on a 500 dollar no cash Recognizance and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Oct. 18, 2018.

As this matter is now before the courts, no additional information will be provided.
