In the darkness the light shines. Wisdom and Opportunities for Women (WOW) next meeting will focus on how to overcome a tragedy and grow from it.
Local jewelry designer, Madame Nadine will be the guest speaker at next Wednesday’s WOW event in Cold Lake. The designer will be sharing her story of how a terrible car accident that left her with multiple facial scars found her true passion in jewelry design.
WOW Committee member, Kathryn Hotte, doesn’t want to give too much away, but promises an inspiring event. “It really was horrible what had happened to her,” Hotte explained, “but that’s really when she came up with the idea for jewelry.”
WOWs serve as great networking and relationship building opportunities. There will be games that encourage people to get to know another. Bring business cards or brochures and get your name out even more, suggested Hotte.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in costume for Halloween, stated Hotte. “We’re going to have some prizes for best costumes; it’ll be fun!”
There will be wine, mocktails and appetizers sponsored by Joly’s Fine Cuisine.
Everyone, including men, are welcome to attend the event. Tickets available at https://www.northeastrabc.com/events/wow-cold-lake-halloween-theme.
