Letestu Released From Florida Panthers Training Camp

Locally born NHLer Mark Letestu was released from his professional tryout with the Florida Panthers Monday morning.

The 33 year-old scored nine goals last season while splitting time with the Edmonton Oilers and Columbus Blue Jackets. He was traded from the Oilers to the Nashville Predators on Feb. 25, before they flipped him to Columbus later that day.

The former Bonnyville Pontiacs captain has 210 points in 558 NHL games.
