This week, The St. Paul Football Club installed new lights that will allow for extended hours for the football club, track club, and the community at Regional Field. The lights were made possible thanks to volunteers, fundraising efforts, and funding from the Town & County of St. Paul, as well as grants.
The club acknowledges all of our sponsors and contributors that have made the 2018 season possible and the dream of field lights a reality.
“We would not be able to provide the program we offer without the support of community members and businesses,” said Jolene Fodness with the St. Paul Football Club.
Special thanks to MSCNET, B&R Eckels and Cornerstone CO-OP for donating equipment, labor and materials to the installation of the field lights.
The club also thanks the other businesses who provided us their services during this endeavor; Robertson’s Construction, J-TEK Electrical, Cornielo Brousseau and Western Canadian Drillers.
The Town of St. Paul and the County of St. Paul were recognized, by the club, for their monetary donations to our project.
“we would like to express our appreciation of the grants approved by the Community Facility Enhancement Program and Farm Credit Canada,” stated Fodness. “The support of the St. Paul Education Regional Division, specifically Doug Fedoruk and the maintenance crew, was instrumental in ensuring we met our goal.”
While many volunteers and parents came out to install the lights, Fodness said one individual in particular really helped execute the project. “Special tanks to Yanik Malo for sharing his expertise and assisting us in understanding what the entire job entailed.”
The St. Paul Football Club invites the community to come join us on Friday, September 28th at 7:00pm as the St. Paul Lions meet the Bonnyville Voyageurs ‘under the lights’.
