Cold Lake Wings Roster Grows With More Signings at Camp
The Cold Lake Wings have announced the signing of two more players to their roster.
Wings Coach and General Manager Johnathan Aitken has signed defenceman Dorian Hall (00′) and Max Gaudet, and they’ll be suit for the team’s first pre-season game on Sept. 28.
“Dorian Hall has a great skill set for a defenceman and is excellent at getting the puck out of his zone,” said Aitken in a press release Tuesday.
“With Max we are getting another big goaltender with good vision who, along with Brendan Culbertson-Bond, will provide an exceptional foundation for our team in net.
“Both players we are introducing today have played a preparatory academies. From a young age they have shown a certain level of commitment to hockey and their teammates. ”
Hall and Gaudet are the third and fourth members of the newly formed Wings franchise. Their training camp is on right now, with a crop of at least 12-14 currently there.
From St. Albert, Hall suited up in 2016-17 for his hometown Crusaders, where he picked up 15 helpers in midget AA hockey, and finished the season 12th in assists amongst defencemen.
Last season, Hall played in Fort Saskatchewan for the Rangers AAA midget team. Seeing action in all but two games, Hall recorded four assists and 52 penalty minutes over 33 contests.
Gaudet hails from Coquitlam, B.C. and will be in the last year of junior hockey. The 6’1″ 182 lbs netminder has spent parts of the last three seasons playing in the Kootenay International Hockey League, most recently with the Kelowna Chiefs and Princeton Posse.
