On July 8th, Bonnyville RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in Bonnyville after receiving a complaint of stolen credit card data. Several credit cards, identification cards, stolen cheques and other documents for stealing identities were found in the residence.
31 year old Sean Stone of Kehewin, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen credit card data, forging ID cards, making available stolen identity information that could be used to make theft, creating forged cheques, personation, fraud, and breaching a recognizance.
Stone was released on $250 cash bail. His next court appearance will be July 17th, in Bonnyville.
RCMP say Stone had information to steal 200 identities. Each victim will be contacted as part of the investigation.
