Cold Lake RCMP Seizes Drugs and Handgun in Search Warrant

During the evening hours of June 28, 2018, Cold Lake RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Cold Lake South.
During the search warrant, RCMP seized in excess of an ounce of crack cocaine, over $5000.00 in Canadian currency and other evidence of drug trafficking. Also seized in the search warrant was a loaded handgun and a vehicle.
As a result of this investigation, three adult males were arrested and charged.
Ayoub Mahamed Ali, 21 years old of Edmonton, Alberta, has been charged with:
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime.
  • Failing to comply with a recognizance x 2.
  • Possession of a loaded handgun.
  • Careless use of a firearm.
  • Possession of a weapon.
  • Possession of a concealed firearm.
  • Possession of a firearm while unauthorized.
  • Removing the serial number of a firearm.
Jordan Cyris Crook-Lombe, 23 years old of Edmonton, Alberta, has been charged with:
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime.
Ryan Dennis Sweeney, 31 years old of Cold Lake, Alberta, has been charged with:
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime.
Jordan Crook-Lombe and Ryan Sweeney were released after appearing before a Justice of the Peace on a $2000 cash recognizance pending their next court appearance at Cold Lake Provincial Court, on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. Ayoub Mahamed Ali was remanded into custody pending his next court appearance.
