Northlands School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Burke as Principal of Elizabeth Métis Settlement School. Mark has been employed with NSD since 2001. Since joining NSD he has called J.F. Dion School, in Fishing Lake Métis Settlement home.

“I am very excited to be named the new principal for Elizabeth School,” said Burke. “This a very challenging and rewarding opportunity. I look forward to working with the school staff and Northland School Division on strengthening relationships with parents, students, and the community.”

Burke’s previous leadership experience includes serving as president of the Northland ATA Local No. 69. He is also participating in the division’s “Aspiring Leaders Program”. Before joining NSD, Mark educated students in Onion Lake First Nation.
