World Junior A Challenge Tickets Now Available

Tickets for the 2018 World Junior A Challenge are now available with a special “early bird” sale. For a limited time only, customers can purchase the entire event package for $199.99, plus fees and services. Afterwards, tickets for the event will cost $225.00.

When Bonnyville hosted the event in 2016, all tickets were general admission seating. This year, tournament organizers have created the option for assigned seating – but only for Bonnyville Pontiacs season ticket holders. If you have purchased season tickets for the Pontiacs, you will get an assigned seat and the full-event package will only cost $149.00.

“That is the only way you can get an assigned seat,” said committee-member Robb Hunter.

“Everything else is going to be general admission like everyone remembers from 2016. So there will still be people standing in line, but if you become a Pontiacs season ticket-holder then you won’t have to stand in line for a seat.”

Rick Swan, Head Coach of the Bonnyville Pontiacs, was an assistant coach for team Canada West last year and “he’s expressed interest in being on staff again this year,” said Hunter.

The event was a “massive success” in 2016, and Hunter thinks it built a lot of trust with Hockey Canada and the CJHL to now host the event again, thanks to great corporate and volunteer support.

“We’re awfully excited to bring this back. We know the corporate support is going to be there, the volunteers in this area for no matter the event do a great job, and now it’s about putting butts in the seats for the World Junior A Challenge,” said Hunter.

Tickets are available at the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre.
