St. Paul RCMP and EADCRU charge male for vehicle theft
“The St. Paul RCMP will continue to collaborate with the Eastern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit to identify crime trends and target repeat offenders,” says Staff Sergeant Corey Blize, St. Paul RCMP Detachment Commander.
On May 29, 2018 St. Paul RCMP, Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (EADCRU) and the St. Paul Police Dog Service (PDS) located a stolen vehicle driving on Highway 652 in Saddle Lake.
Through a coordinated effort, RCMP members were able to track the stolen vehicle to a residence in Saddle Lake where the suspect was arrested.
The vehicle was previously reported stolen from the rural area of Lac La Biche and was bearing a stolen plate from Vegreville.
Blair Jordan Cardinal (25) from Saddle Lake, Alberta was charged with multiple offences including:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00
- Resisting a Peace Officer
Cardinal was released and is scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on June 28, 2018.
