Bonnyville RCMP Seek Owners of Recovered Property; Two Arrested
On March 16, 2018, at approximately 3:30 pm, the Bonnyville RCMP received a complaint regarding the sighting of a stolen vehicle.
Police attended and located the vehicle, a white GMC Sierra, at a residence north of Goodridge. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen.
Police arrested and charged two individuals at the scene. 25 year old Travis Gordon of Mallaig, Alberta and 30 year old Ashley Gaulton of Ardmore, Alberta, face charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Weapons for A Dangerous Purpose. Gordon is additionally charged with Driving While Disqualified, Driving at an Unreasonable Speed and Driving an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Gordon additionally had warrants for his arrest from Cold Lake and St-Paul RCMP for Assault with a Weapon, Flight from Police Causing Bodily Harm, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He remains in custody until his court appearance on April 3rd while Gaulton was released on conditions.
The duo were in possession of property believed to be stolen. The Bonnyville RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owners of the recovered items.
