Elk Point native, Mark Letestu has been traded from the Edmonton Oilers to the Columbus Jackets.

The former Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiac is headed back to Columbus after being traded to Edmonton on July 1st, 2015.

In 2015-16, Letestu played 82 games with 10 goals, 15 assists for 25 points.

The third line centre garnered a lot of attention during the 2016-2017 season, where he had a career year with 16 goals, 19 assists, for 35 points. Continuing into the playoffs with another 13 games, collecting 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points.

This past season, Letestu has 8 goals, 11 assists, for 19 points.

The trade comes a day before deadline day which will see the Oilers receiving forward Pontus Abuerg.

Columbus is fighting for 8th place to secure a  playoff spot. Whereas  the Oilers are out of contention.
