WANTED: Lloyd Wesley Boudreau on homicide charges
RCMP Major Crimes – Arrest Warrant Issued in Lac La Biche Homicide Investigation
Charges have been laid and an arrest warrant issued in relation to the murder of Michael Mountain which occurred on October 28th in Lac La Biche.
In consultation with the St. Paul Crown Prosecutors office, 22-year-old Lloyd Wesley Boudreau of Lac La Biche has been charged with the first degree murder of Michael Mountain. A warrant in the first instance has been issued for the arrest of Lloyd Boudreau. Investigators do not know where Lloyd Boudreau may be at this time and consider him to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged not to approach him but to immediately contact the Lac La Biche RCMP at (780) 623-4380 or their local police service.
Lloyd Boudreau is described as:
– Metis Male
– 188 lbs
– 5’6” tall
– Black hair
– Brown Eyes
– Tattoos on neck and right side of face
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit Major Crimes North with the assistance of the Lac La Biche and Boyle RCMP Detachments, Lloydminster Forensic Identification Section and K Division Special Tactical Operations (STO) are conducting three simultaneous searches for evidence today. These scheduled searches are part of ongoing efforts to locate additional evidence, not for the arrest of Boudreau and do not pose a risk to public safety.

Background
Lac La Biche RCMP and the RCMP Major Crimes Unit are investigating after a man was found with a gunshot wound at a residence in Lac La Biche early on the morning of October 28.
At approximately 4:30 am on October 28, Lac La Biche RCMP were called to reports of gunshots being heard in a residential area in the town of Lac La Biche. Upon arrival at 10408, 102 avenue, officers located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Michael Mountain, age 26, of Lac La Biche. RCMP Major Crimes Unit is now investigating with assistance from the Forensic Identification section and lac La Biche detachment.

“Our investigators would also like to hear from anyone in the area who may have had surveillance cameras recording around the time of the incident,” says RCMP Corporal Curtis Peters. “Those cameras may have captured evidence that could help with the investigation.”
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday, October 30th at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton. No further updates are anticipated until the results of the autopsy are known.
