Charges of fraud pending against 19 year old Cold Lake man

On October 19th, at approximately 6:00 pm, the Cold Lake RCMP received a report that an individual had his truck stolen three weeks prior. Company cheques were in the truck when it was stolen, when the truck was recovered, the cheques were no longer in the truck.

On October 19th, the victim received a call from Money Mart stating that someone was there attempting to cash one of the cheques. Cold Lake RCMP attended right away and arrested a 19 year old male, from Cold Lake.

Charges of fraud under $5,000 and using a forged document are pending. The male was released on a recognizance for court on December 13th at 10:00 am in Cold Lake. The name of the accused has not been released as charges were still pending at the time of this publication.
