27 year old LaCorey man faces 14 charges relating to vehicle theft
In September of 2017 the Bonnyville RCMP conducted an investigation into a theft from a local business in Lacorey. This led them to a rural property where a search warrant was executed which resulted in the recovery of four stolen pickup trucks, two off highway vehicles, and numerous other stolen items. Additionally some of the vehicles had tampered VIN plates. A suspect was identified during this investigation but was not arrested as he was not present during the search warrants.
On October 11th, 2017 members returned to the rural property in an attempt to located the suspect and apprehend him. While at the residence another stolen truck was seized from the driveway and a warrant to enter the residence was obtained.
Located and arrested inside the residence was Dean Peter Gamache (age: 27) of Lacorey was arrested and stands charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 x7
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x5
- Altering a Vehicle Identification Number
- Driving while Disqualified
Gamache was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on bail with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on October 24th, 2017.
