Big Game
The six-man squad at Assumption had a big match-up against Harry Colligne on Thursday October 5. The Crusaders traveled to Hinton for the game against the Wolfpack. The team battled through a hard fought game, and came out on top 20-13. The boys got dirty, but come end of game, all that mattered was the win.
Good win
Assumption has had some big highs, and some low lows this season. The game against the Wolfpack was exactly what Coach Shayne Midford could have hope for. The game was physically demanding, but Assumption stood tall. Josh Gardner had a stellar game for the Crusaders, as did Bryce Ruel. Logan Corrigal and Clay Fallis provided the defensive support in this one at the Defensive Back position.
Proud of the boys
Head Coach Shayne Midford made sure the boys put in the work during practice to ensure the outcome of this game would be favourable. As the season draws on, it was important to Midford that the boys be battle hardy. A final score of 20-13 was indicative of how demanding the game was.
“It was a physical battle tonight, and I am proud of how the boys rose to the physical occasion that presented itself.” Coach Midford says.
