67 year old man Dead following two vehicle collison

St. Paul RCMP Investigating two vehicle collision on Hwy 29

This morning at approximately 8:00 a.m., St. Paul RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 29 and Range Road 102 west of St. Paul. An SUV was travelling eastbound on Highway 29 when it collided head on with a westbound car.

 

The 29-year-old lone male occupant in the SUV from Vilna suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to a local Hospital and then via STARS to an Edmonton Hospital.

 

Tragically, the 67-year-old lone male occupant in the car from Lac Sante was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

Traffic was diverted for several hours while members along with an RCMP Collision Analyst conducted the investigation.

 

All possible contributing factors related to this collision are being considered, and the accident remains under investigation. St. Paul RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance regarding information regarding this collision.
