Navarone Watchmaker Selected to U16 Team Canada Football Team
Navarone Watchmaker made waves a couple of months ago. He was selected to Team Alberta for the U16 Western Challenge. Now Watchmaker is making even bigger waves. The Kehewin Football player has been selected for U16 Team Canada West. The International bowl will take place in Texas.
Good Impressions
Navarone is a humble young man who makes his mark known on the field. From beginning with the Bonnyville Bandits, to trying out for Team Alberta, to now on Team Canada West. Watchmaker is always grateful for the help and support of his family and coaches.
“I would like to thank all my coaching staff in Bonnyville. They have gotten me where I am, for pushing me. And my family for their support.” Watchmaker says.
Western Challenge 2017
Watchmaker held his own, and more with Team Alberta at the Western Challenge. Team Alberta went 3-0 in the tournament, and handily crushed their opponents. Watchmaker was selected to Team Canada West following his performance.
Team Canada West
Watchmaker and Team Canada West will compete in the International Bowl in Texas. The bowl will be held in January 2018. The International Bowl happens yearly, and pits Canada vs USA in the best U16 football action in the world.
“It’s actually pretty exciting to be honest. To be representing Canada, it’s a good surprise to be on the roster.” Watchmaker says with pride.
Voyaguers Season First
“I really excited for my first high school year. Being on this team with how they play, and the players, it’s going to be great.” Navarone explains.
The Bonnyville Voyaguers are back on the field, and so is Watchmaker. Navarone Watchmaker is in his first season with the Voyaguers. It’s going to be a thrilling next couple of months for the young football player. Look for our preview of the Voyaguers season later this week.
