Volunteers Needed

The Bonnyville Jr A Pontiacs are looking to fill some volunteer positions for the 2017-18 season. Head Coach, Rick Swan says the team has a continual need for volunteers and have lost some key people recently.

“We’re always looking for good billet parents, for the regular season and for main camp.” Swan says the team is expecting 60 players to arrive at the end of August for their annual training camp. On top of that there are a few more billet houses needed to ensure that all the players have a safe and caring place to live while they are part of the Pontiacs. “It’s a great opportunity to give a home away from home for young athletes.”

“We also are looking for volunteers. We lost some key volunteers in our announcer’s booth and penalty box area. The main one we lost is our 50/50 Coordinator and Merchandise Coordinator.” Swan explains there are 30 home games throughout the season and a volunteer would be needed for an hour before and throughout every home game.

1. Volunteer Coordinator for game day operations
2. Merchandise Booth Coordinator  
3. 50/50 Volunteer Coordinator
4. Concession Coordinator
