The Bonnyville Pontiacs are proud to announce that PONTIAC forward Ryan Piche has committed to the ACAC NAIT OOKS for the 2017/18 season.

Ryan played three seasons for the Pontiacs from 2014 to 2017 playing 158 games. “Ryan is a culture enhancer and an exceptional person. Seeing him receive this opportunity is so deserving and Coach Fragle is getting himself a high end competitor who will instantly makes the OOKS program better,” says Head Coach and General Manager Rick Swan.

“Ryan was one of our captains and is of high character on and off the ice. He plays hard and practices even harder. He is also an exceptional young man and does everything in his life to the very best of his ability.,” Swan says Piche was an integral part of the club, “He was a key contributor on the Pontiacs’ penalty kill; he played hard against the other team’s top players and was on the ice in all important defensive situations… he blocks shots, consistently leads our team in hits making him uncomfortable to play against and he simply plays the game the right way.”

The Bonnyville Pontiacs organization, the fans of the Pontaics and our community are extremely excited for Ryan’s next chapter in his academic and hockey journey.

Ryan Piche becomes the 44th Bonnyville PONTIAC to have played in our organization to commit to College level since 2014.
