County of St. Paul under Fire Advisory

Last Updated: May 11th, 2017By Tags: ,

High winds and humidity factor in issuance of advisory.

Effective Immediately: The County of St. Paul is issuing a Level 2 Fire Advisory.

This means:
-safe campfires are permitted in campgrounds and in other County areas-in approved fire pits.
-issuance of fire permits for other burning is restricted. Existing permits would be honored, however, the issuance of any new permits has been suspended.

Over Thursday and Friday we are expecting higher temperatures with an increase in winds and lower relative humidity which make ideal conditions for the spread of wildfire.

The County of St. Paul will continue to evaluate the conditions, and will once again issue open burn permits when conditions improve.
