Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests & Charges

Drugs & stolen property found during arrest.

On May 1, 2017, Cold Lake RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a truck in the City of Cold Lake.  During the traffic stop, Cody Raymond White, 30 years old of Marie Lake, Alberta, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest fled from the truck on foot, but was quickly apprehended by Cold Lake RCMP after a foot pursuit.

During the traffic stop, Joel Lagace, 24 years old of Cold Lake, Alberta, was in possession of a 27.24 gram bag of methamphetamine.  Justin Skulte, 27 year old of Cold Lake, Alberta, and Kaleigh Fennimore, 20 years old of Cold Lake, Alberta, were also arrested from the truck and were found in possession of cocaine.  During this incident a stolen black 2003 Ford F350 was also recovered.

Cody White has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, failing to comply with a recognizance x 2, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with a probation order.  Joel Lagace has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with a recognizance x 2.  Kaleigh Finnimore has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cocaine.  Justin Skulte has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cocaine.

All accused persons are appearing today at Cold Lake Provincial Court and all remain in custody except for Kaleigh Finnimore who was released by a Justice of the Peace on a recognizance.
