Bonnyville Artists team up to put on east-central AB show

Work showcased at annual Vermilion Community Art Club Spring Show.

Local artists Marilyn Brockhoff and Brenda Claude, left the Lakeland borders to show off their talents at the 7th Annual Show and Sale hosted by the Vermilion Community Art Club this past weekend.  This wasn’t their first opportunity at showing their works and certainly won’t be their last.
Brockhoff, a true entrepreneur, was raised in Alberta, “which gave the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of nature.”  She always dabbled in the arts but it wasn’t until she retired that she felt she had the time to delve into her painting. Working mostly in oils, she creates ethereal landscapes with a particular flair for the mountains.

Claude describes her style as “prairie bohemian”, a combination only an artist would dream up.  Also multi-talented, Claude works in a variety of mediums and does not limit herself to painting.  Sewing and upcycling of items thrills her; she is always excited to show her creations to others.
The event hosted many artists from east-central Alberta.
