CANADIAN VETERANS MOTORCYCLE CLUB (CDN VETS MC) will be hosting a Blessing of the Bikes and Photo Scavenger Hunt.
The Canadian Veteran Motorcycle Club will be conducting a Blessing of the Bikes and Photo Scavenger Hunt on Apr 29th. This is an event to promote awareness that Motorcycles are again out on the roads. Also to promote safe riding for the motorcyclists. The Blessing is an annual tradition in which motorcycles are blessed by a priest in the hope that it will bring safety for the coming season. Many towns hold annual ceremonies to bless motorcycles at the start of the summer.
This will be the second year for the Lakeland to have a Blessing of the bikes. Last year approximately 75 Motorcycles attended the Blessing.
Attendees last year expressed interest in there being something more to do after the blessing. So this year a Photo Scavenger Hunt is to take place after the blessing. This will be a chance for riders to reacquaint with the roads and friends in the Lakeland area and have a bit of fun finding Landmarks in the area.
Bushman’s Smokehouse is expected to be on site so delicious food will be available for the day.
The Event will be held in the Cold Lake High School parking lot at the Energy Center in Cold Lake Apr 29th. Registration for the Photo Hunt will start at 9 AM and the Blessing will be held at 11:00 AM. The Hunt will proceed after the blessing and riders will have to be back by 3:30 PM so results can be tallied and Prizes handed out.
The Canadian Veterans Motorcycle Club is a club of Canadian military veterans and serving members who ride motorcycles and share Brotherhood.
