Lac La Biche RCMP Investigate Attempted Child Luring

Lac La Biche RCMP are investigating a report of attempted child luring that occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m., on Dec. 1, 2016 near Lakeview Crescent.

Lac La Biche RCMP were notified of the incident the following day. A suspicious male driving in a vehicle pulled over and asked a young girl to get into the vehicle while she was walking to a grocery store in Lac La Biche. The girl refused and the male fled the area.

 

The suspect is described as:

  • Aboriginal or Asian male with tanned skin
  • Approximately 30-40 years old
  • Short black thin hair
  • Dark eyes with bags underneath
  • Very skinny build
  • Wearing a black shell jacket

 

The suspect vehicle is described as:

 

  • 4 door older silver car (possibly a Honda or Toyota)
  • Loud engine
  • Tinted back windows
  • Spoiler or fin on the trunk
  • Grey fuzzy seats inside

 

Police commend the girl for refusing to approach the car and for advising adults, and remind parents and caregivers of the importance of educating children about safety.
