Domestic Dispute turns Theft turns Failure to Provide Breath Samples
On November 13th at 5:30 am a member of the Cold Lake RCMP Detachment was dropping off a victim of a domestic dispute, when the victim notice her truck drive past. Considering the man of the relation was at the RCMP Detachment during this time, RCMP responded to the situation as a theft.
The vehicle was located a short time later with a female driver who appeared to be intoxicated. RCMP requested a breath sample; however, the female refused.
A 20 year old female from Cold Lake has been charged with failing to provide breath samples on an approved screening device. Through investigation it was discovered that the female was an acquaintance of the victim and was present at the time of the domestic dispute. The victim did not go forward with theft charges.
The female driver will appear in court on January 11th at 10:00 am in Cold Lake.
