Two Men Wanted for LaCorey Shooting

As a result of an investigation involving the Bonnyville RCMP the Edmonton General Investigation Section and Edmonton Police Service, suspects have been identified and warrants of arrest issued for two males in connection with a shooting.

On November 9, 2016 a male, holding a machete, stole a black Ford F350 and drove away.  He was followed by co-workers of the owner of the truck, who were subsequently followed by another suspect in a Ford Escape.  The suspect in the Ford Escape fired a shotgun at the co-workers and struck one of them.

An investigation has led to the arrest on November 15, 2016 of one of the suspects; a female youth who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  She is facing nine Criminal Code charges and has been released to attend court in December.

The other two suspects involved in this incident have not been located.  As a result of this incident, Bonnyville RCMP have sworn the following charges;

Warrants for arrest have been issued for L’Hirondelle and Watt.

The Ford Escape that was being driven by these suspects has been recovered.  The black Ford F350 with Alberta license plate BNW 5764 has not been located and may still be in the possession of either L’Hirondelle or Watt.  Bonnyville RCMP believe that they may be in a possession of a second Ford F350 which was stolen on November 14, 2016 out of Bonnyville.  This Ford is maroon, with Alberta license plate BMV 6228.

Both L’Hirondelle and Watt are considered armed and dangerous.  The public is warned not to approach these subjects or their vehicles if spotted, but to call the police.
