On Thursday, October 6, 2016, Cold Lake RCMP executed a search warrant at a rural residence northwest of Cold Lake in the MD of Bonnvyille. As a result of the search warrant RCMP seized (5) batteries that had been stolen from CNRL sites in the area.
A charge of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00 is pending against a 40 year old male from the Cold Lake area, who will be appearing in Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. This same 40 year old male was also arrested in relation to an unrelated warrant for his arrest. A 32 year old male from Glendon, Alberta, was also arrested during the search warrant on an unrelated warrant.
The name of the accused could not be released because charges have not been sworn.
