Elk Point Lions to host Inagural Outdoor Leisure Show

Show will feature everything from leisure to industry to residential

The Elk Point Lions Club are hosting their first Outdoor Leisure Show on October 22nd at the Elk Point Allied Arts Centre. Lion Jonny Nielsen says the exhibition will include a wide variety of businesses showcasing products for recreation, home, and industry.

“We’re looking for more exhibitors, right now,” Nielsens says if you’re in the business of outdoor living and lifestyle he wants to hear from you. Booths are $250 for 10 x 10 feet indoors or unlimited space outdoors for $125. “If you have tractors or skidoos or trailers you can set them up outside for everyone to test and see.” Nielsen says the Lions Club hopes the event will become a highlight of the Elk Point community, “I’d like to see it become an attraction, something our community is known for.”

“It’s tough times and we are looking for ways to help each other,” Nielsen, who is also the President of the Elk Point Chamber of Commerce, explains the idea is to help local businesses advertise and showcase their products and services. Along with having an instant crowd at the event, exhibitors will be highlighted in advertisements and promotional material.
