RABC Ups Your Facebook Game
Taking your Facebook Business account to the next level
The Rural Alberta Business Centre (RABC) is presenting the next level in Facebook training, Facebook 303 for Businesses. Small Business Adviser at the RABC, Kathryn Hotte says Facebook is here to stay and it’s vital for businesses to learn the ins and outs of social media.
“We’ve had a couple of workshops, in the past, on Facebook basics, those were for people without Facebook pages.” Hotte says the Facebook 303 workshop, facilitated by Jonathan Berube of Octopus Creative, is the next level in training. “There’s a lot of people out there who have had a Facebook for business page, they’ve had it for a while, they do their updates…. but there’s not much beyond that. They kinda know through osmosis how to use it, but haven’t gone any further.”
Facebook 303 will teach businesses how to maximize their Facebook game by optimizing your Facebook page. “Defining your social media brand and what that means,” Hotte says is an important part of the three hour workshop. “Jonathan will also help you with the analytics and what they mean. Because a lot of people haven’t even ventured into that part of Facebook and that can be a very effective tool.”
The workshop, held at the FCSS in Cold Lake, is open to any business owner (or their Facebook manager); however it is filling up quickly. Hotte advises that you contact the RABC to reserve your spot. The course, held on Wednesday September 28th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm is $30. You can book by calling 780-594-1090.
