On July 29, 2016 at 6:00 a.m. Cold Lake RCMP received complaints of a male pointing a long barrel firearm at persons in vehicles in Cold Lake North near the Hospital. At 6:30 a.m. the suspect was located by the RCMP who negotiated his surrender.
A 29 year old male from Big Island Lake, Saskatchewan is in custody at Cold Lake Detachment and is facing several firearms related offences. A loaded long barrel firearm was seized in relation to this investigation.
No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
The name of the accused could not be released because charges have yet to be sworn in court.
