Man Caught Trying to Sell Bear Mace to Public

Midday on July 18th, 2016, the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment received a complaint from an anonymous male reporting that a male was trying to sell bear mace on Main Street in Bonnyville, AB.  Bonnyville RCMP Detachment officers attended the area and located a male, 29 year old resident of the M.D. of Bonnyville, that was known to them who matched the description provided by the complainant.

The male was subsequently arrested and transported to the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment where he confessed to selling the weapon.  The was released on court compelling documents being charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on August 16th, 2016.

The charges have not been sworn on this matter therefore we cannot release the name of the individual however you can obtain his name from court on his first appearance date.
