Bonnyville RCMP Recover Stolen Property and Firearms, Issue Arrest Warrants for Suspect
On July 10th, a homeowner near the intersection of Murphy Road and Hwy 659 reported that their home had been broken into over the last several days while they were away camping. Numerous items were stolen including several firearms, jewelry, personal identification, tools and even a washer and dryer set from their laundry room. Bonnyville members began their investigation and within 24 hrs had obtained enough grounds to execute the search of a nearby property. Members surrounded the residence and with the assistance of the St. Paul Police Dog Service set up a perimeter in order to affect the arrest of the suspect in question. The suspect fled the location in a vehicle and because his identity was known, in the interest of public safety a pursuit was not initiated.
The house in question was searched by officers and a great deal of what is believed to be stolen property was discovered. Many of the items stolen from the victim’s home were recovered including the washer and dryer set and most of the firearms. As we inventory the recovered property we will be reaching out to those previous victims who may be the owners of the property. Please do not call police to enquire if we’ve recovered your property, we will contact you if that is the case.
Charged with 13 counts including possession of firearms while prohibited, possession of stolen property over $5000, flight from police, and numerous other charges is Bradley James WRIGHT (Age: 34) of the MD of Bonnyville. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are requested to call police at 780-826-3358 or dial 911.
