Jeannine Ellis named as New Principal for Iron River School

Northern Lights School Division  No. 69 is pleased to announce that Jeannine Ellis has been appointed as  the Principal for Iron River School. “Jeannine has done a great job as Principal at Iron River School over the last year and we are fortunate to have her continuing in that role moving forward,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson.

Ellis had been serving as Principal of Iron River School on a temporary basis for the 2015-2016 school year. She joined Northern Lights 12 years ago as an Educational Aide at Iron River School. After taking a break to earn her Bachelor or Education from the University of Alberta, Ellis returned to Northern Lights, this time as a teacher. In her first year of teaching with the division, she was nominated for the Edwin Parr Teaching Award.

“I am excited for this opportunity to continue working with Iron River students, staff and parents,” Ellis said.
