The Cold Lake RCMP were called multiple times, around 12:40 pm on June 2nd, regarding a suspicious vehicle in the ditch west of Ardmore. When the police arrived they found a man and a woman inside.

After checks it was determined the vehicle was stolen. The pair were arrested an charged with possession of property obtained in a crime. Both individual were from Edmonton, the male 33 years old and the female 21 years old. The identity of those charged has not been released by the police, but will be available following further court dates. Both were remanded into custody.

The Cold Lake RCMP caution residents that car theft is on the rise as of late. RCMP recommend always locking your vehicles and never leaving any valuables inside. Often vehicle thefts are crimes of opportunity.
