Thieves Target Cabins at Muriel Lake
The Bonnyville RCMP received a call from the owners of a cabin on Muriel Lake reporting that it had been broken into. Further investigation revealed that six of the 12 private properties in the area were hit. Water systems and pumps and other miscellaneous items were stolen.
Three suspects were identified, two of whom have been arrested. A 33 year old female and a 38 year old male both from Bonnyville have been charged with Breaking and Entering a Cottage, Mischief Under $5000 and Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime. They will appear in court later this month.
The RCMP continues efforts to locate and charge the third suspect.
