Bonnnyville RCMP Detachment Briefs: April 22 – May 1st, 2016
Extreme Speed
On April 22nd at 9:10 PM the Bonnyville RCMP noted an SUV on Hwy 659 East of town at a very high rate of speed. The Constable turned on his emergency equipment in an attempt to pull the vehicle over but the 41 year Bonnyville man continued and passed a motorcycle on a solid line before eventually pulling over. The driver was charged with Careless Driving.
Noise Complaint
On April 30th at 10:30 PM Bonnyville RCMP responded to a noise complaint in Moose Meadows. While in the neighborhood they located an intoxicated 24 year old male from Bonnyville attempting to drive away. He refused to provide a breath sample on an Approved Screening Device and was charged with same. His vehicle was seized for 3 days and his licence suspended.
One Headlight DUI
On May 1st just after 1:00 AM, the Bonnyville RCMP pulled over a 23 year old Kehewin man for a burnt out headlight on 50th Avenue in Bonnyville. The driver had been consuming alcohol and provided breath samples that resulted in a driver’s licence suspension and he was charged with Driving an Uninsured Motor Vehicle on a Highway, Driving an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Improper Use of Licence Plate and Transporting liquor within easy access. The 19 year old male from Goodfish Lake who was a passenger was arrested on Outstanding Warrants out of Smoky Lake for Theft Under $5000.
Assault
On May 1st at 10:00 AM Bonnyville RCMP received a report of two intoxicated females Assaulting a third female at a residence in Kehewin. All three females are from Kehewin. The two female suspects, ages 21 and 35 were arrested, Charged with Assault and Released to appear in Court on June 7th.
