Gail de Vos has been promoting the oral tradition in Alberta for almost two decades. The author of nine award winning books, her speciality is in combining the art of storytelling with traditional and modern folklore, storytelling, legends and myths. For more information, go to
Karen Spafford-Fitz is the author of two middle-grade novels. Having taught elementary and junior high students for eight years, Karen has a background in curriculum design and enjoys delivering workshops to address students’ literacy needs. We are excited to have local author, Billi J Miller join us to discuss her book FarmWives in Profile. As a writer/photographer Billi is passionate about celebrating the lives of the farmwives who have contributed significantly to the patchwork of Canadian Heritage. She currently lives in Kitscoty, Alberta on a 100 year old farm.
