On April 1st a male and female were reported to be selling fake gold out of the their vehicle, near the Cold Lake Bottle Depot, around 3:30 pm. The Cold Lake RCMP received a report of the sham operation and responded; however the pair had left the scene.
RCMP are asking that anyone who may have information on this crime, including potential victims. If you bought jewelry from a male-female pair, recently contact the Detachment at 780-594-3302. If you want to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by internet at www.tipsubmit.com. You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers.
