ENDHS Selected for $5K ACA Grant
École Notre Dame High School was selected for a $5000 Alberta Conservation Association (ACA) Community and Education grant. The money from this grant will go towards supporting the enhancement of the Outdoor Education and Wildlife programs at the school. Students enrolled in these programs will be able to explore a number of pathways and certifications to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the outdoors.
They will develop and demonstrate the attitudes, skills and knowledge required for responsible participation in broad range of outdoor activities. Students will share their knowledge and skills with younger students in the community by visiting classes to present on different aspects of the program. The culminating activity will be an extended outdoor excursion.
Principal Pamela Guilbault said, “We are passionate about having our students act as stewards of the environment while appreciating and supporting the abundance and diversity of wildlife, fish and natural habitats. We are so thankful to have the support of the Alberta Conservation Association in enhancing these learning opportunities for our students.”
