Garbage Duty for Three Bonnyville Teenagers

On March 25th, 2016 at approximately 12:30 AM , the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment received a 911 call for service from a citizen of the Town of Bonnyville who reported that they witnessed a dark coloured Chevy truck speeding with a passenger hanging out of the window knocking over garbage cans.

Members of the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment conducted patrols and located the suspect vehicle along with observing many garbage cans knocked over.  A traffic stop was initiated with the Chevy and the 3 occupants, all teenagers from the Bonnyville area, admitted to the mischief they had caused while speaking to the police. Explaining that they were all chargeable for Mischief Under $5000.00 however if they cleaned up the large messes they caused, the Constable was willing to let them go with just a warning.

All 3 teenagers cleaned up the garbage cans they had knocked over and the mess it caused along with apologizing to the police regarding this incident. Parents were informed of the incident along with the violation tickets issued to the vehicle driver.
