Police Respond to Man w/ Knife Outside O2s

On March 23rd, at 8:30 pm, RCMP received a complaint of a man waving a knife around outside O2 Tap House in Cold Lake. When police arrive the male had fled, explains S/Sgt Jeremie Landry of the Cold Lake Detachment.

“The report said there were two males,” says S/Sgt Landry, “one took out a knife and gauged the glass of the front door of the business. RCMP arrived and the suspects were no longer there.” S/Sgt Landry says the one suspect decided to come back to the scene and RCMP members attempted to arrest him, “he resisted arrest.”

RCMP have laid charges on a 31 year old male, from Cold Lake, for mischief under $5,000, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest.
