Armed Robbery at the Boyne Lake General Store
At approximately 10:00 am on January 19th, the RCMP were dispatched to a 911 call of three masked males and a female who had entered the store, produced several firearms, and demanding cash.
After physically assaulting the clerk and stealing the wallet of another customer who walked in on the incident, the suspects fled in a black dodge pickup truck with a minimal amount of money and other merchandise. Surveillance footage and witness accounts are being analyzed and the file is under active investigation by several RCMP departmental units. The clerk sustained minor physical injuries, but did not require medical attention.
The St. Paul Victim Services unit is assisting with those affected by the event. Information regarding this offence can be called into the St. Paul RCMP detachment or CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
