Town of Elk Point Moving Forward With New Website
The Town of Elk Point has selected a website designer/manager and will be moving forward with updating their website. Elk Point Council approved a successful bid from the website provider, Townlife. The company handles neighbouring municipalities, the Town & County of St. Paul, so Council was familiar with their work. Along with the familiarity, Townlife came with excellent references and met all the Town’s requirements, says Elk Point’s administrative assistant, Brooke Yaremchuk.
Yaremchuk, who was lead on the project of finding a new website provider, says there were some excellent companies who bid on the project, but ultimately Townlife met all the requirements. “Townlife had a proposal that they submitted, as well as their qualifications and capabilities were what the Town was looking for,” explains Yaremchuk. The Town and County of St. Paul both gave Townlife a great reference, “when I was seeking out the providers, the Town and County, gave really good references. There was a number of reasons why Townlife scored the highest when it came to proposals. The proposal [Townlife] submitted was very descriptive and easy to read, as well. I found it was overall awesome.”
Some of the stand out features that Townlife will provide, “they had met all of the requirements. It has to be easy to use, when we’re updating it in the office, but also user-friendly for the residents, as well. Something neat and organized, and easy to follow.”
Certain employees for the Town will have access to uploading documents, adding events, and posting news; which will make keeping the site up-to-date, and the residents informed a lot easier. The Town expects the site to be live within a few months.
