Cold Lake Man, 31, Arrested in Connection to Donation Box Theft
During the evening of January 16, 2016, Cold Lake RCMP located and arrested Michael Daniels.
Michael Daniels remains in custody at this time on a warrant for his arrest, in relation to the theft at the Cold Lake Bottle Depot, of a donation box containing $200, that was destined for the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.
Michael Daniels also faces charges of obstructing a peace officer, personation, as well as an unrelated charge of theft under $5000.00.
UPDATE:
Michael Daniels has been remanded into custody following a hearing before a Justice of the Peace. Michael Daniels remains in custody and his next court appearance is January 27, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Cold Lake Provincial Court.Â

A warrant for the arrest of Michael Kyle Jordan Daniels, 31 years old of Cold Lake, has been issued in relation to the theft at the Cold Lake Bottle Depot, of a donation box containing $200, that was destined for the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.
The warrant for arrest is also for obstructing a peace officer, the personation of Jared Jacknife, as well as for an unrelated theft under $5000 from The Best Spirits Liquor Store on September 20, 2015.
On January 2, 2016, Michael Daniels was arrested for the theft at the Bottle Depot and personated Jared Jacknife. On January 13, 2016, all charges against Jared Jacknife were withdraw, as he had no involvement in this crime.
