During the late morning of November 27, 2015, Cold Lake RCMP andĀ Cold Lake RCMP’sĀ General Investigation Section, with the assistance of the RCMP’s Edmonton Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant on a Cold Lake South residence.Ā In excess of 2 ounces of crack cocaine as well as CannabisĀ MarihuanaĀ were seized.Ā Ā A significant amount of cash, a handgun and a sawed off shotgun, both of which were loaded and improperly stored were also seized.
29 year-old Feysal Yusuf FARAHĀ of no fixed address,Ā 26 year-old Abdulahi Abdirizak SHAKIB, of no fixed address andĀ 24 year-oldĀ Marissa ASSALI from Cold Lake, Alberta, were arrested and have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Cannabis Marihuana, careless storage of a firearm x 2, unauthorized possession of a firearm x 2, possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm with ammunition x 2, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace x 2, and possession of property obtained by crime x 2.Ā The loaded handgun seized was also determined to be a stolen firearm.
In addition, Feysal FARAH also faces two charges of possession of a firearm while prohibited, as well as five charges of failing to comply with a recognizance.Ā Abdulahi SHAKIB also faces an additional five charges of failing to comply with a recognizance.Ā Feysal FARAH and Abdulahi SHAKIB have been remanded into custody and will next appear at Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.Ā Marissa ASSALI has since been released on $2000.00 cash bail with conditions, to also attend Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.
